We are a Mennonite congregation. What does this mean?
As you can see, the Mennonites are quite a diverse group of people! For us at MMC, being Mennonite simply means living as followers of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. In particular this means we are committed to Jesus’ teachings and example of faith and love toward greater peace and justice in our homes, our community, and around the world.
We are a Mennonite congregation in Morden, Manitoba. Where is this?
We are very much a part of our community: most of us live in Morden, and as a church we participate in and host community events throughout the year. For more information about the city of Morden, you can check out Morden’s Wikipedia page and official website.
We like to describe ourselves as “on a journey with Jesus,” with a particular destination in mind: “greater peace, greater witness, and greater service.” Check out our vision and mission statements for more about how we think about this.
For more information about our distinctive beliefs and practices, see Mennonite Church Canada’s Confession of Faith and the shared convictions of Mennonite World Conference. Also, feel free to explore the links on the right of the page.
